Lawyer in the field of natural gas and oil market regulation — EY

About the company: EY is an international company that provides professional services in the areas of audit, business consulting, tax, law, strategy and transactions.

Responsibilities:

Research and consulting on various legal issues related to the regulation of the oil and gas sector in Ukraine (exploration and production, storage, transportation and supply of natural gas and oil).
If necessary, involvement in related analytical and advisory projects in the energy, climate, and other areas.
Preparation of legal reports, memoranda, legal opinions.
Legal support for production sharing agreements (PSA), joint operating agreements (JOA), joint activities (JAA), and production efficiency enhancement (PEC) in the field of oil and gas production.
Legal support for reforms on the regulation of natural gas markets and climate policy, in particular, the development of draft laws and by-laws and accompanying documents, including on the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU acquis communautaire.
Checking and coordinating the work of junior lawyers.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience working in an international or leading Ukrainian law firm, or Big 4 company, or in energy sector companies/organizations, NGOs/consulting organizations/projects specializing in relevant legislation.
English language proficiency level – B2 and above.
In-depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of civil, corporate and commercial law, legislation in the field of subsoil use regulation, oil and gas markets, and climate sustainable development.
Experience in preparing advisory analytical materials and/or presentations in these areas.
