Under the direct supervision of the Protection Coordinator (Rule of Law), the Senior Protection Manager (Rule of Law) will lead and support the PRoL program across Ukraine, ensuring high-quality design and implementation of protection measures, case management, legal advice, protection monitoring, and strengthening of protection systems.
Main responsibilities
- Program management and programmatic support: supporting the Coordinator in defining PRoL portfolio goals and priorities, coordinating activities across sectors, developing programmatic approaches, interacting with MEAL, donors, and stakeholders.
- Technical quality assurance: development and implementation of high-quality, evidence-based solutions; technical support to field staff.
- Partnerships: developing and strengthening cooperation with local organizations, working with authorities, participating in advocacy and stakeholder mapping.
- Technical leadership and staff development: mentoring, coaching and supporting the professional development of the team; participation in the recruitment of staff for PRoL programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education in law, human rights, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
- Fluent in Ukrainian and English.
- At least 4 years of experience in a leadership position in managing multi-year programs/grants or in implementing humanitarian programs in the field of protection.
- Thorough knowledge of the humanitarian context of Ukraine.
- Experience working with donor requirements (e.g. UHF, BMZ, ECHO), reporting and grant management.
- Experience in managing partnerships with national and local organizations, including developing partner capacity.
- Experience using digital tools for program management (Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI or similar).
- Preference given to candidates based in Kyiv.
