Job description
GlobalLogic is looking for an experienced legal counsel to join its growing Legal Department to support global data privacy compliance matters.
Job responsibilities
- Provide data privacy compliance support for other departments; review related queries and coordinate inputs from global privacy team members.
- Support audits from the data privacy documentation perspective (clients and certification bodies).
- Coordinate annual reviews of global privacy documentation and maintain detailed records, tracking deadlines.
- Continuously assess compliance of GL Privacy program and recommend improvements.
- Develop privacy policies and related documents; track changes in applicable legislation.
- Handle various types of global Data Subject Requests.
- Provide regular updates to legal department management and carry out other tasks to support the global legal team.
Requirements
- Law degree in Ukraine.
- At least 5-7 years of total professional legal experience in Ukraine; must possess law firm experience.
- Experience working with Ukrainian data privacy law.
- English language full professional proficiency, spoken and written (team works exclusively in English).
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, clear and concise communication, ability to work across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
Preferences
- An additional law degree in an EU country is welcome.
- General understanding of GDPR and AI Act; experience with global data privacy and AI matters.
- Experience working as an in-house lawyer, in multinational companies, or for IT companies.
