IT Legal Counsel (Ukrainian Law / International Law)
Company: Softengi Location: Kyiv / remote from any city in Ukraine
General requirements
- Work experience in law from 3 years.
- Experience working in an IT company or in the field of legal support for IT businesses.
- Understanding IT terminology and the specifics of the work of IT companies.
- Experience in preparing, analyzing and approving contracts.
- Skills in preparing legal opinions, letters, claims, and other legal documents.
- Experience in negotiations, resolving legal issues and managing legal risks.
- English at level B2–C1 for working with legal documentation.
- Ability to complete tasks within established deadlines according to SLA.
Additional requirements for the Ukrainian Law major
- Thorough knowledge of Ukrainian legislation (civil, commercial, corporate, labor and tax law).
- Practical experience in interacting with government agencies.
- Experience in claims work and litigation support.
- Knowledge of legal English for working with standard contracts (NDA, MSA, etc.).
Additional requirements for the International Law major
- Experience in preparing, analyzing, and approving legal documents in English.
- Experience working with foreign jurisdictions (EU, USA, UAE or others).
- Knowledge of international contract law and experience in supporting cross-border activities.
- Understanding of international compliance requirements and business practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze and negotiate NDAs, contracts, deeds and other legal documents.
- Provide legal support for the activities of the company, clients and partners.
- Advise internal teams on legal matters.
- Communicate with managers, customers and other stakeholders regarding legal aspects of cooperation.
- Prepare legal opinions, letters, claims, explanations and other legal documents.
- Analyze legal risks and provide business recommendations.
- Participate in the development of the company’s internal legal processes and policies.
